As of September 15, 2005, the InterWorx name and its IP are properties of InterWorx L.L.C. which is splitting from NEXCESS.NET (led by Chris Wells) a web hosting company based in Michigan, USA. When NEXCESS.NET first started they decided to work on their own control panel system. Targeting at growing web host clients they focused on a load balanced clustering solution which became the Interworx-CP. It allows admins to simply add resources as needed to the cluster for linear expansion. It's the first load balancing cluster panel on the market.
InterWorx-CP is but a piece within the InterWorx line of tools, meant to solve the most basic hosting and server management problems as a fully functional suite of software solutions.
